Africa’s stories – Sagbo’s ambitions
Emmanuel Sagbo ha 24 anni ed è nato in Benin il 1° dicembre del 1994. Si è appassionato al ciclismo grazie ad un suo amico ciclista che lo ha letteralmente folgorato e il suo idolo è Alberto Contador. La sua famiglia lo supporta anche se i problemi maggiori che incontra sono la mancanza del materiale necessario e la totale assenza di corse nel suo paese.
Emmanuel Sagbo is 24 years old and he is born in Benin on December 1st 1994. He became passionate about cycling thanks his cyclist friend that literally struck him and his hero is Alberto Contador. Sagbo’s family is supporting him, but the main problem that he is meeting are the lack of necessary material and the total absence of races in his country.
Emmanuel ha le idee chiare, vuole diventare il ciclista professionista più forte e famoso del Benin, anche se per adesso può vantare solamente una vittoria al GP de la Kozah in Togo nel 2018. Fino ad ora ha potuto fare un po’ di esperienza partecipando a numerose corse a tappe africane come il Tour du Faso in Burkina Faso , il Tour de la Cote d’Ivoire in Costa d’Avorio, il GP Chantal Biya in Camerun e il Tour du Senegal.
Emmanuel has on his own clear thoughts, he wants to become the strongest and most famous professional cyclist of Benin,at the moment he has just one victory in his palmares at GP de la Kozah in Togo in 2018. Until now he has experienced participating in many African stage tours such as Tour du Faso in Burkina Faso, Tour de la C ô te d’Ivoire in Côte d’Ivoire, GP Chantal Biya in Cameroon and Tour du Senegal in Senegal.
Emmanuel dice che il suo hobby è riposarsi dopo le competizioni mentre il suo piatto preferito è insalata e riso.
Emmanuel says that his hobby is rest after the competitions (race) while his favourite dish is salad and rice!
